Healthcare Accreditation

NABH Accreditation

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers

NABH accreditation shows that a hospital or healthcare provider meets national standards for patient safety and quality of care. Certsure helps hospitals, nursing homes and clinics in Lucknow and across Uttar Pradesh prepare for NABH assessment.

Standard status: NABH hospital standards: 6th edition (effective January 2025). Accreditation and certification are granted by NABH, a constituent board of the Quality Council of India; Certsure provides preparation support only. Official source ↗

How Certsure helps with NABH

Certsure Certification is a consultancy based in Lucknow, working with organisations across India. We help you understand the requirements, close the gaps and get ready for assessment — gap analysis, documentation, implementation support, training, internal audits and support during the external audit. The certificate, licence, registration or report itself is granted by the relevant authority, accreditation board or independent auditor.

Who this is for

  • Multi-speciality and single-speciality hospitals and nursing homes
  • Small healthcare organisations, day-care centres and clinics
  • Hospitals preparing for empanelment with insurers and government health schemes
  • Hospitals that also want their laboratory accredited — see NABL for medical laboratories

What NABH assessors look at

NABH standards cover the whole patient journey and the systems behind it, including access and continuity of care, assessment and care of patients, medication management, patient rights and education, hospital infection control, patient safety and quality improvement, responsibilities of management, facility management and safety, human resource management, and information management.

How Certsure supports your hospital

  1. Choose the right programme — full accreditation or an entry-level certification route, based on your size and readiness
  2. Gap assessment department by department against the current NABH standards
  3. Policies, SOPs and formats that staff can actually use: consent, medication, infection control, patient safety, documentation and quality indicators
  4. Training for doctors, nurses and support staff, plus mock assessments
  5. Quality indicators and audits — data collection, clinical audits and corrective action
  6. Application and assessment support on the NABH portal through to closure of findings
