How Certsure helps with ISO 13485

Certsure Certification is a consultancy based in Lucknow, working with organisations across India. We help you understand the requirements, close the gaps and get ready for assessment — gap analysis, documentation, implementation support, training, internal audits and support during the external audit. The certificate itself is issued by an independent, accredited certification body after its own audits.

ISO 13485: frequently asked questions

ISO 13485 is not legally required by ISO itself, but many regulatory authorities (EU MDR, FDA, Health Canada) either require or strongly recommend it as part of their regulatory approval process.
ISO 13485 is based on ISO 9001 but is specifically tailored for the medical device industry. Organizations in the medical device sector typically certify to ISO 13485 rather than ISO 9001.
Certificates are issued by an independent certification body after its own stage 1 and stage 2 audits. Certsure Certification is a consultancy: we prepare your organisation — gap analysis, documentation, training, internal audit and audit support — and coordinate with an accredited certification body. You can verify accredited certificates on IAF CertSearch.
Accredited management system certificates are normally valid for three years, with surveillance audits by the certification body at least once a year and a recertification audit before expiry.
Cost depends mainly on the number of employees and sites, the scope and complexity of your activities, how much of the system already exists, and the certification body's audit days. Contact us with these details for a written quotation — we do not quote a single fixed price for every organisation.
