ISO 55001 Certification

Asset Management System

ISO 55001 specifies requirements for an asset management system. It helps asset-intensive organisations — utilities, infrastructure, transport, manufacturing and public bodies — realise value from physical and other assets across their life cycle while managing cost, risk and performance. The current edition is ISO 55001:2024.

Standard status: Current edition: ISO 55001:2024 (published July 2024), replacing ISO 55001:2014. Official source ↗

How Certsure helps with ISO 55001

Certsure Certification is a consultancy based in Lucknow, working with organisations across India. We help you understand the requirements, close the gaps and get ready for assessment — gap analysis, documentation, implementation support, training, internal audits and support during the external audit. The certificate itself is issued by an independent, accredited certification body after its own audits.

FAQ

ISO 55001: frequently asked questions

The 2024 edition aligns with the harmonized structure for ISO management system standards and places more emphasis on decision-making, asset data and information, and the organisational context of asset management.
Certificates are issued by an independent certification body after its own stage 1 and stage 2 audits. Certsure Certification is a consultancy: we prepare your organisation — gap analysis, documentation, training, internal audit and audit support — and coordinate with an accredited certification body. You can verify accredited certificates on IAF CertSearch.
Accredited management system certificates are normally valid for three years, with surveillance audits by the certification body at least once a year and a recertification audit before expiry.
Cost depends mainly on the number of employees and sites, the scope and complexity of your activities, how much of the system already exists, and the certification body's audit days. Contact us with these details for a written quotation — we do not quote a single fixed price for every organisation.
